after job processor create pdf file, no watermark shown

There's no error in job processor. it creates a pdf version of .idw but the problem is there's no watermark eventhough I already set up the lifecycle. Aside from no watermark, the pdf file include filename.idw.pdf which is in normal should only be filename.pdf. As I expect watermark is in border as it was set to border

For the watermarking: There is no option for watermarking the PDFs, where did you set that "watermarking on border" option??

Thank you for the naming link. The watermarking was found here . Is it final that watermarking is not possible on vault? On inventor understand as it is not a PDM tool but for the vault just hard to believe. I only seeing sovelia or cool orange as third-party watermarking provider on search engine

Watermarking settings are applied only to Items, not files. Are you using Items?

Watermarks will appear on document files only if they are associated with an Item. Watermarks are a part of the Item Lifecycle.

So, as an example, if you assign an Item to an assembly or part file, any drawings that are associated with that file should also be added to the Item. Then, when the Item experiences a lifecycle state change, the associated files will as well, and any watermark settings should be applied.

Thank you for your response, I've try to assign an item to the file and all the files related or link to it also change, so that works but still no sign of watermark after create pdf, update the view, still the same. Any advice other way to check and work this watermark on pdf drawings

The watermark will only show in the View tab of the Item on a 2D CAD file. The watermark is dynamic, so it is not in the file. Nor will the watermark be placed on the 3D CAD file or on a non-CAD file, PDF.

Yes agree, even without showing at the view for idw or ipt is still OK since vault can show the state as per file/item.

What's more important is the pdf which is related to documentation both on view and actual printable file. Files like ipt and idw only use for internal and doesn't go to the client, Pdf does.

If you are sending the PDF to people externally, use the Batch Plot command. You can send the PDF to a PDF print driver, Adobe PDF as an example, and place a watermark on it.

Thanks for this information. I've tried this but the outcome doesn't have watermark. I'll still preferred to have it on view and after pdf creation for the benefit of those in thin client vault

Does anyone have any suggestion to try. If someone is using the vault and watermark is working on their side. then it should work unless there is a third party interaction? Do I still assume that watermark is working without third party software, is that correct?
