Action / Attachments tool don't work properly, in Vault Basic (latest version, latest update).

Hi,

I'm working with Inventor professional and Vault Basic, latest versions and latest updates, and I have problems with the Attachments tool in Vault.

When I add one attachment, everything is fine. But after that, when I try to detach this attachment or to attach another one, the Vault stops working properly and won't let me out of the dialog box. After that, I have to exit with the task manager / end task for Vault.

Not sure, but I think it was from the latest updates.

Hi,

To explain in detail, when I choose to detach an attachment, the dialog box shows that it is no loger there, but when I want to confirm or just exit, with OK, or Cacel, or X, nothing happens. These buttons behave like they are active, but they don't work. The only button that works is the Help button.

Can someone (working with Vault basic) please help and check on his machine if attachments works properly?

After that, when I restart Vault, the name of the file is blue colored, the comment is "Check out for attachment, it is left checked out, and it can't be opened from the Vault client, nor checked in; so I have to go to Inventor and open it (from Vault tab) and then undo check out.

Hi there,

I would just like to report that my Vault Basic stuck me again, and not only in the Attachment dialog box, but also in the Rename dialog box.

The same as I described before, when I try to rename a file, I can't get out of the dialog box.

Any guidance will be appreciated - thanks.

I don't know if it matters, but I've tried this workaround: to delete the library folder from my work space, and after that problems disappear - Attachments work fine, Rename works fine.

good to know that my workaround works for you.

Now lets see for how long it will keep on working for you 🙂

For our team, this workaround works only for a week or so, then Inventor again starts crashing.
