Can not preview file in Autodesk Vault

When ever I click the preview button for a file, Autodesk Vault begins a download of a DWF file, as opposed to a PDF preview opening like it does on my peers computer. I have tried using different web browsers, but it always installs a DWF file instead of allowing me to preview the file in my browser

It sounds like you are selecting the parent model file. If you tell it to download the visualization file, that is a DWF not a PDF.

Please confirm what you are selecting or provide some images so we can better assist you.

To clarify this, I ensure that I am in the attachments tab and then I click on the magnifying glass where it says "preview" when I click this, I have no options and it automatically starts a download of the DWF file. When my peer clicks on this magnifying glass for the same file, it opens up a PDF rendition.

You need to hit Save to download the PDF, if that attachment is a PDF.

I do not have the option to save the file as a PDF, I can only save as a DWF or DWG and view it in a separate application. My peer does not have to download the file to view it in the web browser.

You cannot save it as a PDF through those links. The attachment has to be a PDF or you open the DWF file and export it as a PDF.

I am not trying to save the file though. My peer can click on the magnifying glass and a new tab is opened in the web browser of a preview PDF of the file, this happens without ever having to download the file. When I hit the magnifying glass, it starts a download of a DWF and that is it.

I don't think you are seeing a PDF. You are seeing the DWF file opened in the browser.

You need to download and install Autodesk Design Review on your computer.
