After some advanced diagnosing, I ran Wireshark and discovered an issue with TLS 1.2 when trying to communicate with Forge/APS. I reviewed some forums and although Windows Server 2019 by default TLS 1.2 is enabled I found others with similar issues with TLS not behaving as expected on their servers. I then added and Key to the registry under HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\Protocols\ named TLS 1.2 and Added 32 bit DWORD value name of Enabled with value data of 1 (hex). According to what I found, some servers may already have this key, I would expect they would not have the issue I was experiencing.

After adding this key the communication with Forge/APS works and now displays file view within the Thin Client.

We have 2024 Vault Professional installed with the latest updates both in Dev and Production Servers. Recently we upgraded from 2022 and tested in a Dev Environment before pushing to our Production Servers. All worked well in the Dev Environment, including Viewing of files in Thin Client. Our production Environment is Server 2019 with the latest Windows Updates, our Dev Environment is Server 2022, as we were testing before we pushed our Production Servers to 2022. Note we have ADMS and AVFS Servers in Dev and Production.

When going to the Thin Client to view a file, clicking on the View shows the Spinning Circle icon and says loading model and then stops. No Error message displayed. The Audit Log shows that a File Download has been issued from the Vault, and calls out the proper DWFX file. Using the same method and older dataset from the Dev environment yields expected view of the file.

I disabled the firewall, same issue, removed and reinstalled Thin Client, same issue. Both Dev and Prod Env, have same rev of ADMS and Thin Clients, 29.1.83.0 Verified file permissions on visualization files are base. I am missing something simple it seems, worked well for 2022, updated to 2024 and no view. The file view operation does work inside of the Thick Client, just not the thin client. Hoping someone can point me where I need to look next.

Did you try clearing the cache, and did you try using Internet Explorer? Is the issue happening for all PCs trying to connect via Thin Client? I assume so, but just confirming.

I would start by checking your lifecycle permissions on the visualizations:
https://resources.imaginit.com/support-blog/selecting-preview-in-vault-thin-client-error-404

Also, try the workarounds suggested here:

Yes- Using Chrome, Opera and Edge, all same result with cleared cache and cookies. I have tried from other PC's and servers, same result.
