Change E-Mail alias after user creation

Hi all
I need to change the e-mail address of some Vault users in Vault professional. Some user have also no email-alias assigned and need to be added.
However, the data field is grayed out and cannot be edited. How can I change the e-mail address of existing users?
I seem to be missing something...

The email is coming from their Active Directory account.

You need to change it in Active Directory, and then on their next login, it should get updated.

Thank you for your answer. Our IT doesn't seem to know anything about this.
I have now solved this in Vault as follows.
Changed the user login to Vault account.
Then assigned and correctet the typos in the e-mail of the userprofile. Then changed back to Active Directory login.
The e-mail address entered earlier is then retained. I don't know why but now all users have their correct profiles.

Our IT updated the active directory and I've tried updating the domain user profile, but the correct email address does not import.

I tried the suggestion from @ProductivCADUser

Changed the user login to Vault account. Then assigned and correct the e-mail (was blank). Then changed back to Windows Authentication login. That just blanked out the Email Alias that was there once I switched back to Windows Authentication and was prompted to Select Domain User, even though the domain user has the correct email address that I want to add.

Is there somewhere else to look to resolve this? My user isn't getting Vault notifications which we find useful.

This sounds like Vault is unable to retrieve the email address from your Active Directory.

What version of Vault are you using?

@ihayesjr this is occurring with 2024 and 2026
