Does changing user accounts cause a reindex?

Can someone remind me if changing a user account display name causes a reindexing of the vault? I don't think it does. Secondly, if I promote a local account to a domain account or demote a domain account to a local account, does that cause a reindex?

my mistake, I am changing the user ID.

Yes and no to both. Both actions require a re-index but it won't cause one, you'll be told it'll need to be done but it won't automatically trigger one
