On the Vault features page, it only lists Vault Pro under the capabilities for "vault access for non-CAD users" and "document management for non-CAD users." Does that mean if my company has Vault Basic, only the seats with AutoCAD will be able to access the documents in Vault? The others won't even have a read-only option?

Hi agbenfi,

Yes you are right. If you have Vault Basic then the non-cad users in your company won't have an access to documents via a web browser (thin client) or a thick client.

If you want non-cad users to access Vault via a web browser (thin client), then your company should have at least one seat of Vault Professional. Keep in mind that non-cad users only have read-only access to Vault via web browser and they don't consume a license. Anybody in your company can access to Vault via a web browser. If there is a need for non-cad users to add files and perform additional tasks, they'll a Vault Office license.

Please kindly check the attached document for the Vault Office features.

When I go to Buy, there is no Vault Office option. Any idea where to find that?

you can't buy any Vault products through Autodesk E store

you have to go through a reseller for it

http://www.autodesk.com/resellers/locate-a-reseller?cntr=US

Vault Office requires vault workgroup or Vault professional to use
