splitting the FILESTORE into Two separate/distinct Drives?

is there anyway to split the FILESTORE into Two separate/distinct Drives? i mean can i damage the files or the app by doing this? is there any risk?

im having vault 2013 version.

Hi,

There is really not way to do this. If you have multiple vaults, it is possible for each vault's filestore to be on a different drive. However the filestore for a given vault is assumed to be on a given drive.

Hi,

In ADMS console, you simply select your vault in the main tree and run the 'move file store' command.

you mean this is only a vault right and if i had more than the nuclear vault that would say that i have multiple vaults?

am i right?

Yes -

If you have multiple vaults then each can have their own filestore location (each on different drives). However for a given vault, the filestore only has one location.

There is really no way to split a filestore for a single vault into multiple drive locations.

Thanks a lot, another question and maybe the last one i have, is that is there anyway to put a autolock mechanism on the ADMS when you log in.

yes we dont want to have unlimited times to log in we want to have an action to lock the account when they try more then 3 times

and paul back to the file store

what I wanted to find out is if there is a way to “move” data from One Vault to another Vault..

Basically the steps I was trying to find out if it was even possible were:

Create a new Vault, call it Nuclear1 (or whatever we decide)
1. Define the filestore on a different disk drive.
Move a Folder (for example RXS) from the Nuclear vault to the Nuclear1 vault

you know what paul, we already find a fix for the File Store sorry for been confusing, but on the autolock i do need help i presume that im gonna need a third party app to do this right?

You are right - there is no autolock functionality built into vault. Glad to hear you are set on the other issues.
