.NET is not installed error - when installing Vault 2016 SP1 server patch

Has anyone came across this error when trying to apply Vault 2016 SP1 to the server?

Running Vault Pro 2016 with hotfix DM201590_Server already installed on Server 2012 R2

SP1 seems to get applied to the Thin Client component but not the server

Tried installing SP1 on Server 2012 R2 where hotfix was not present and no issue

On a problematic system, please try the below steps and let us know if it helps:
- Run cmd.exe with "Run as administrator" option
- Right click the patch and select "Copy as path"
- Paste this path on the opened administrator command prompt
- Hit Enter to run the MSP patch.
- Follow the installation screens
