Add ability to use VAULT with Viewer

For a company such as ours, the Inventor Viewer is useless without it being able to access VAULT.

Paul,

When you use the Vault client, if you select a file and choose View in Window from the Actions menu, Inventor View will be used to open the file.

I am referring to the viewer (10 copies) that comes with (used to come with?) every seat of Inventor. Or even the free downloadable viewer. We have people in our organization that would like to view our files, pan/zoom and dimensional inquiries. It's quite expensive to give them a seat of Inventorl; why can't the viewer access our Vault?

I believe we are talking about the same viewer, Inventor View. It comes with the Vault client.

Is Vault client free? If not, the free viewer is useless for companies using Vault and that is the basis of my request. Since I can't check it myself (as I have a full seat of Inventor on my computer), I asked my IT guy to check. He says there is no access to Vault using a viewer on a system w/o a seat of Inventor/Vault.

We have a free web viewer that comes with Vault Professional.
