Documenting the Vault As-Built configuration

I need to document our as-built Vault 2016 configuration so that in a Disaster Recovery situation, someone from outside our group could recreate the configuration. Other than a lot of snap-shots of various screens, is there a canned report that can to do this?

Well it depends on what you need.

First of all, you should be performing nightly or at the least weekly backups. This maintains your system for disaster recovery just fine. So I would first evaluate your backup strategy. You should know that this can be automated rather easily and you can even have a script move a backup to another network location for safe keeping.

Secondly, you can export your Vault Configuration (it doesn't get everything but it gets a lot), through your ADMS Console.

User-Defined Properties
Property Mappings
Custom Objects
Lifecycle Definitions
Publish Options
Revision Schemes

Lastly, this is for I suppose a real disaster, but there are for cost tools that will give you Security Settings such as Users, Groups, Folder securities, etc. In these tools there is also a Metadata Extract you can pull all the data of your Vault UDPs out of Vault into a spreadsheet and then push changes back in among other things.
