Custom Revision Scheme not applying

OK, early morning brain fart???

I wish I could claim that but I was fighting with this most of the day yesterday and I'm no where near figuring it out and totally frustrated (mainly cuz I had it working right just a couple of weeks ago).

OK, so I had to reinstall Vault Pro 2017 due to an IT issue, anyways, I've been going thru it and reconfiguring it all over again to what we need/want.

I've had to create a custom revision scheme because for whatever reason in Adesk's infinite wisdom, they don't include the number "0" as the first revision in the numerical scheme.

So, I create said custom scheme and set it as the default for the category that'll use it. Easy enough. Except that when I go to change the revision of a part, even manually, it still only pulls up "1", if I type in the "0" it errors out and won't let me proceed.

I go back into the revision scheme definition menu and sure enough, it's set back to the default alpha scheme, why?

I had this working just 2-3 weeks ago and now for the life of me I can't find out what the hell is stopping it.

I'm on the verge of screaming like my avatar.

How do I set the custom scheme as the default for the category if using the "assign" process is not doing it like it should?Again, what am I missing?
