Thank you,

In the Vault client on the Log In form setting the Server Name field to the name of the AVFS server I get an error message that the Data Management Services could not be found on [AVFS server name]. Should something else be installed on the AVFS file servers as well. AVFS was the only thing installed on them and a filestore location set. The Main vault server can see them fine, vault clients cannot.

Thanks

We have a multi-site environment set up using one ADMS server and multiple remote AVFS.

How should the remote clients be setup?

What server should they point to?

How do they make use of the local File Servers?

Hi Rodney,

The clients would just point to the appropriate AVFS server during signin (in the 'server' field).

Hi Rodney,

It sounds like there may be a firewall other issue that is preventing the vault client from connecting to either the AVFS or ADMS server. I'd suggest running a tool like Fiddler (http://www.telerik.com/fiddler) on the client to see where the failure is occurring.

The clients can all reach the main ADMS server. Currently that is the only way they can connect to the vault.

If the ADMS server is entered into the server name they can connect and use the vault. But they are using the main remote server.

If the AVFS server is entered into the server name an error is received. But the server is reachable from the client. Using Fiddler I can see an error 500 is returned from the server with a standard ASP.NET error page about customerrors being turned off. So it seems there may be an error with the AVFS configuration.

Hi Rodney,

I assume you have run AVFS console and configured it already? i.e. configured it with ADMS server and mapped file stores?

Assuming you have already done this step, I don't have any insights into why you would be seeing an error. You may need to engage product support to sort this out.
