Is Vault Pro Client and Web client 2018 compatible with Microsoft Edge

Is the Vault Professional 2018 Client and Web Client 2018 compatible with Microsoft Edge. We are rolling out Windows 10 at my company. Because Vault Pro Client and Web Client 2017 are not compatible with Edge we are using group policy to make Internet Explorer the default web browser. We are having many complaints from users who also have Adobe Acrobat installed because they are having a hard time to get Windows 10 to keep the default for pdf files set to Adobe Acrobat. It keeps resetting to Edge. Even when IE is working they are getting error messages when trying to view PDF files because they do not have Adobe Reader installed (for users who have Adobe Acrobat DC installed). User with Adobe reader only have an issue with Windows 10 resetting the file association for PDF files back to Edge.

Anyway, it would be nice to have Vault compatible with the Window 10 preferred web browser Edge.

Why does the Vault Pro 2017 full client need IE11 anyway?

Vault 2018 is not compatible with Microsoft Edge, client nor Thin Client. The thick client uses IE for the Landing page when you first log in. While you can use the Thin Client with Microsoft Edge, there isn't an Autodesk Design Review browser extension and therefore if a user accesses a DWF file, Edge will download the file instead of opening it in the browser.

Hello!

Still in version 2019 the Vault thick client uses internet explorer as browser for viewing the landing page in Vault explorer.

This has issues now, as we modified the landing page to re-direct it to our company custom landing page, and that does not support internet explorer 10 (or older) anymore.

My computer has IE11 installed, and opening the custom landing page with it manually works fine, but when trying to open the same page through Vault thick client, it will prompt an error to update Internet explorer to a newer version, as it is not supported anymore.

So i guess Vault client uses some older version of IE somehow?

When will the Vault thick client browser change to edge, or atleast to IE version 11, which would be compatible with sharepoint?
