Current v2014 ECO Status Workflow vs. Proposed v2018 ECO Status Workflow

Currently we are using the out of the box ECO Status State Workflow with the Check State option selected within v2014 Vault Professional. We are getting ready to install v2018 Vault Professional and would like to customize it with new ECO Status States to improve our current workflow. We would like to customize it to have a Create, Engineer Validation, Open, Work, Internal Review, ECO Originator, Lead Engineer Review, Approved & Closed State. Is there a possibility to accomplish this within the new v2018 Vault Professional.

This has been one of my biggest requests for years, the ability to customize workflows on ECO's in Vault. As of 2018 (unless I missed a memo) Vault still does not have this ability. The higher end PLM products do seem to have something like this, though I admit I haven't done enough research to give you much more information.

Thanks for your response. I have been wanting this for years as well. I am shocked this still hasn't been implemented. Are we the only 2 people that think this is a must needed improvement?

I swear an Idea has already been posted on this. But I cannot find it in the Idea forum. I know I've brought it up to the Vault team in person many times at AU.
