(Bug)

Design Copy in Vault does not allow action rules to assign a different Category Name to files; only 'Reset' is selectable.

(Idea)

Design Copy should allow users to specify a target Category.

Be careful with the word bug, a bug is a mistake in the code... this sounds more like a feature that you would like to have added.

Try posting this idea in the Vault Idea forum >>here<<. Then post back here and ask people to vote on it.

You are asking to be able to assign a NEW category in copy design. As of right now that is not something that can be done.

Just to ensure/clarify on the reset and reuse category workflow -
New copy design has a 'Default Rule Set', and one property behavior in this is Category Reset. So if user use new copy design out if box, they see Category reset behavior on target files. A custom rule set as well can be created with property behavior Reset(only).
User can create a custom rule set and NOT have any property behavior for the Category, in this case the source file Category is reused/copied to the target file.
As pointed out earlier, assigning a New Category with copy design is currently not supported.

Ah, no problem, thanks for clarifying. Currently, Vault can preserve or reset Category, but not assign. Cheers!
