Vault database is not open.

Hi, Just looking for some explanations for the following message.

"The vault database is not open. Open database and compare component for editing." (Screenshot attached)

I get this message when I open an Inventor program through opening a file with Vault. I don't seem to be getting any errors or problems of any kind but I was wondering if anyone knows what Vault and Inventor is actually doing here.

Hello,

It means, that your Inventor Addin is not logged into Vault and all changes you make cannot be checked back into Vault unless you login first - via Inventor.
