1. A user has to be logged into the VM because I am pretty sure that the Job Processor uses a Vault License. This being said we have set up service accounts for this which has full admin rights.

2. You will need to go into Inventor > Vault tab > Vault Options. Click the check box on "Dialog Suppression" Check in Dialog and then click "Settings...". Next at the bottom where "Visualization Attachment Options" are click "Send to Job Server". Click ok then uncheck the "Dialog suppression".

In Vault set up your Visualization options. (Vault options.png).

Setting Up a Job Processor Questions #2

So I have setup 2019 Job Processor on my VM that's also runs my license server.

I have upgraded Vault to 2019 but am still running a 2017 design product base (working on deployments).

Job processor is running with the predefined tasks but I have some questions.

It appears that I have to stay logged into the server for the job processor to keep running. This is not necessary for the other softwares on my VMs (ADMS or LMTools). Is this true or is there a way for the job processor to be running without a user logged onto the server?

While I have the Job Processor running and logged in my Production Vault, I would think there would be something I have to do to tell Inventor/Vault that the DWF file production is being pushed there.

Re: Setting Up a Job Processor Questions #2

Thanks for the info but still some questions:

1) I was afraid of that. While I can make a "service" Vault account for this (my world), IT will not allow me to have a "service" Lan account to be logged into the VM (their world). I have given them a heads up that I will be staying logged in because of this. However, I have the option of using one of my VMs for the Job Processor or a regular old workstation which I have at my desk for this. The VM I am using is only running the license server sop I thought that would be the easiest.

2) So with my current install this IV setting would have to happen with each user at each station they may use. At the moment we are a Cad Lab style environment without roaming profiles. We will be moving all of the Cad stations to members desks soon as our area is going to become more secured. But still this is per user. So my question then is when I am creating my deployments for the 2019 upgrade I assume I can include this IV Vault setting in that so that it is the standard?

3) There was another setting I found in Vault Client yesterday that I turned on and am rethinking that:

Now I think this only needs to be set to enable on the installation of Vault Client on the VM machine with the processor. Is that correct?

4) Vault Visualizations Options: I did look at that yesterday but saw nothing that needed changing. I assume the standards here applied to Inventor making the DWF or Job Processor.
