Hello everyone!

I am studying the possibility of using Vault Sync with BIM 360, but I have some doubts regarding the limitations that this tool offers. The main ones are:

1 - Are file attributes (properties) loaded when I sync?

2 - Are automatic file uploads and downloads based on an approval flow? Example: The File has been approved internally (Vault) and will now be uploaded to BIM 360 for the customer to make the final approval. What happens to this file if it is approved or not approved?

Is it possible to assign synchronization in an approval flow? Or can I just upload and download files?

I would like to know how developed these tools are within Project Sync.

Hi Gabriel,

Regarding your first question, are you talking about syncing the Vault properties to the BIM files? If so, there is no support for such functionality - only the files themselves are synced.

Regarding your second question, for uploads to BIM it is possible to set up a Filter on your sync jobs. The filter can use any Vault property (similar to search), so you can control what files are uploaded as long as there is some property representation on the file of the approval status.
