Vault Pro 2020 - View in Window - Inv Read only

Helping someone out... End user upgraded from Vault Pro 2019 to Vault Pro 2020 and Inventor/AutoCAD as well.

When they go to view in window in Vault, it launches Inventor Read Only. So in Tools/Options you change it to Inventor View. But Vault cries and says its not loaded but you can't install Inventor view because Inventor 2020 is installed on the machine. Going in circles and gaining no ground..

This option is provided but you can't use it. So what are the options.. Uninstall Inventor and then run the Vault Client installer again? Or when you initially install, your Install Vault client first?

Can you please elaborate why user would like to use 'Inventor View' instead of using 'Inventor read-only' for view in window command. ?

Other than the 2 options you have listed, a possible 3rd option is to get Inventor View 2020, download and install it :

However the recommendation is to use 'Inventor Read-only' starting Vault 2020.

I found the separate download for Inventor view and its working now. End user is custom just to having the pop up Window and installing Inventor read only on numerous machine right now is not feasible. Understand the Inventor Read Only Mode is kind of the standard going forward but customer is not ready to pull the plug on Inventor View.
