Change Default Basic Search Criteria

Hello all,

We have recently upgraded to Vault Workgroup 2021 from 2018 and notice that the basic search field now looks at "Multiple Properties" criteria instead of "File Name." I know we can expand the basic search to include the File Name.

My question is there a way to set the "File Name" Criteria to always be the default criteria after closing and opening Vault Workgroup?

The basic search has always searched all properties available for searching, not just the File Name field.

"The basic search searches a specified set of properties for a text string. Use the basic search field to locate any file item, change order, or folder based on simple search criteria.

When a search is performed, the main view displays the results of the search. Clear the search field to display the main view in its entirety. The Search field can be expanded to add criteria to the search using the query builder.

Note: Only the file properties that are set to Searched in the File Property Management dialog are searched when using the basic search. The settings in the File Property Management dialog apply only to the basic search and not to the query builder. See Manage File Properties for more information on managing file properties."

Thank you Irvin, but I may not have been clear.

I want to know if there is a way to set the File Name to always be the first and main criteria field to be search.

There is not a way to do what you are asking.
