Log-In Issues

I have been logged into vault mobile in the past. Now that the app is the official version, I cannot seem to log in anymore. I have a valid Autodesk ID with a vault pro license. (Vault Pro 2021) I load the app and hit the sign in button. I then enter my autodesk credentials and I get the message: Error: Your account does not have access to the Vault Mobile app. Please consult your administrator for help.

Any ideas why I cannot log in anymore?

Can you go to https://manage.autodesk.com and check the list of products to see if Vault Mobile shows up in the list?

I just looked. It only shows product design and manufacturing collection and Vault Pro.

Check with your account admin to see if they can give you the entitlement to Vault mobile.

I do see Vault Mobile listed yet I cannot assign it to users and I am not allowed into my vault through Vault mobile app. And I am the admin.

@frank.gavilar and @amber.hady Can you completely remove the application from your device and re-install it. I want to see if there is something cached on the device that a fresh install may fix.

@ihayesjr I tried this yesterday to no avail. I am waiting on my Autodesk License Admin to try and add the app to my Autodesk ID. I am the Vault Admin, but not the Licensing Admin. I will post an update once that's done.

We are investigating this issue internally as well. I will update this thread as I find out more.

@ihayesjr I spoke with my license admin. They informed me that the vault mobile app shows up in our global list of products, however, there is nothing in the section to assign privileges.

@amber.hady We have confirmed that is the problem for some of our users. We are investigating the problem and hope to have a solution ASAP.

@ihayesjr Yesterday I received an email from Autodesk stating that my admin had given me access to Drive, Shared Views, Vault - mobile app, and Vault Pro. I asked him if he had done anything and he said all he had done was click on my account to verify. Not sure if you guys had made a change or not, but ever since then I have been able to get in.

I can now uncheck and check the box in the manage.autodesk... and it works and I can use the app again.

I wonder what is the logic behind not giving access to the vault mobile app for all users by default?

Some companies have specific policies around the use of Mobile devices. By giving all users access to a mobile application could cause issues with these policies.

Correct, it cannot be used with Vault Basic.
