Hello all

We have full replication environment within several offices using Vault 2020. We will update to 2022 very soon)

Totally, we have many thousands of folders in Vault and the following issue happens only in a few.

All files in the particular folder cannot run on copy design; they cannot be deleted, new files cannot be added. However, files can be updated with new versions. When running copy design it says that files dont have total ownership assigned. I made sure all files are on the same server, like I said, you can update them with new versions. The folder that contains the files is hang up somewhere in the replication. If I try to get the ownership for the folder, it says that sqlserver1 (different than the one I'm logged in) still has ownership. If I connect to that server 1 and try the same thing it says that sqlserver 2 has the ownership. So on, if I log in to server 2 and try to assign ownership it says sqlserver 3 has the ownership... it's vicious circle...

This happens only on a few folders. I restarted all subscribers and publisher servers a couple of times; it's been three days with issue persisting.

The folders with this kind of issue are located randomly in Vault, they arent part of a main folder.

Does anyone have any hint of what should I try?

Thank you for your help.

radu

I recommend that you create a support case so that this can be investigated. What you are describing sounds like your databases are out of sync and need to be fixed.

It looks like some conflict happened during the replication process, such problem normally can be resolved using the conflict viewer in SSMS, however, this requires some database and Vault API knowledge, if you are not confident please contact Autodesk to do this for you. Make a backup before you try.
