Using the Vault 2022 addin with Civil 3D 2022:

When closing a drawing file that is checked out of Vault, the Vault Check In dialog box does not display. The file closes and remains checked out. This is not how it operates in Vault 2021 or 2019.

I have checked the Options > Configure default prompts and "On File Close" is set to YES and ALWAYS PROMPT.

I have also ensured that Options > Dialog Suppression "Check in dialog on file close" is NOT selected.

I have tested this on three workstations with the same results.

Has anyone else run into this? Am I missing something that needs to be set/changed etc.?

Thanks
Nick Seman

I've only seen this scenario when drawings (Inventor drawings) were NOT in Vault yet, or at least not at the same workspace location (local file folder mismatches where the checked out file is at in the Vault folders). Please double-check if the file is saved locally (your C drive or other) within a location inside your Vault workspace area defined by your project file (and that you have the correct project file selected.

If your Vault plugin tab is telling you that there is no other previous version checked into Vault (plus sign instead of a normal circle with checkmark), then you should be able to fix this by the following:
1) create a blank drawing at the original drawing's location;
2) move your original drawing out of the folder it's currently in;
3) rename the blank drawing to the same file name as the original drawing, and check it in;
4) delete your local copy of the blank drawing and check it out in Vault;
5) move the original drawing back into the original folder and attempt again to close and save+check in.
