Problem with synchronize value between Vault property and file property

Hello,

I found a bug with synchornize value between Vault property and file property. The problem occurs when doudle-sided synchronization is set between the Vault property and the file property:

The file is checked in Vault and has an Item assigned and a correctly filled property "06. Overal dimension" , for this moment is everything fine:

The problem occurs when we open the file in Inventor and make it avalible for changes. Than on the side of Inventor we make a change in property "06. Overal dimension" and make "check in" to the Vault:

Just now I have "equivalence error". Value is rewrite but still I have red notice about the "equivalence error":

Than when I use action-----synchonize properties Vault give back original / before/ values in property:

One and only way how can I keep the new values in file is the "update Item". Than is this value sucesfully rewrite to the file but on a file management is still red notice:

Please have some advice on how to proceed in these situations?? I am pretty sure in previous versions / try 2019 and 2021/ there was no similar problem.

Hi @tomas.kochan

Here is why you are running into this issue. The Item takes precedence when it comes to synchronizing properties between the file and Vault. It also depends on when you do the synchronization.

When you use the Synchronize properties options inside of the Vault Client, the Vault values will be pushed to the file property. Since you have property compliance flagged, whatever value the Item currently has will be pushed to the file.

Here is how you need to adjust your workflow.

Check the file out
Edit the property in Inventor
Check the file into Vault
Run the Update Item command!!! (If you don't do this, the property compliance flag will be present because the property value in the file doesn't match the property value in the Item.)

When you perform the Update Item, the new property value will get written to the Item property making them match.

This should resolve your property issue. You should not need to run a synchronize property command again.
