Setting Default Expansion In Where Used

How do I set the Where Used tree to have the first node expanded and all others collapsed by default? This is usually how the tree should appear initially. Hitting collapse all every time is a chore.

Unfortunately, there is no customization option. We had auto-expand as a default long ago but removed it for a quicker view while zapping through multiple files. I would vote for the first level auto-expand or the best option to set it to 1..4, or all levels as a user setting. Move it to the ideas forum, please.

You're misinformed. Auto-expansion of all items in Where Used is current behavior. Please download the latest version of Vault.

@cstarker6VCG4: Thank you for the heads-up that Item -> Where Used auto-expands as a default. That's true and not related to the latest Vault version. This thread discussed the File -> Where Used tab, and there, the auto-expand behavior is neither set as a default nor configurable.

There is only one Where Used tree that I know of and it's in the Preview Pane.

A factually wrong statement is made and then the thread goes dead? No. I'm bumping this. The Where Used tree expands by default and I'm prepared to prove it.

I appreciate your enthusiasm. Let's discuss flexible solution targets; I see multiple locations with a Where Used view: Item Where Used, Files Where Used, Saved Searches, CAD Show Details...

I propose an idea post asking to pre-set each with a user-pre-set/default value for expansion: 0..4, All.
