Accessing Vault InventorServer

Hi,

Is there a way we can initialise InventorServer Object outside of the job processor?

Currently the IJobHandler Services gives us access to context which has context.InventorObject.

But, can we initialise the InventorServer Object ourselvess like below or similar. Below code manages to init a COM object but throws NotImplementedExceptions for pretty much any methods inside invapp

Dim inventorAppType As Type = System.Type.GetTypeFromProgID("Inventor.InventorServer")

Dim InvApp As Inventor.InventorServer = System.Activator.CreateInstance(inventorAppType)

The VaultInventorServer is meant exclusively for (custom) job processor consumption from a technical AND the license compliance perspective. Compare the recent answer in this thread.

Thanks for that. I should have made it clear that I am trying to implement it inside a custom job processor.

When I create custom JOBS and process it via the job processor that comes with Vault (Vault Job Processor or JobProcessor.exe), I can access it from the Execute method. Currently, I am trying to create a custom JOB PROCESSOR (which has a valid license/ vault connection). Am I still able to initialise and access the VaultInventorServer object?

Is VaultInventorServer object only limited to Autodesk's default Vault Job Processor then?

To be precise as possible: the VaultInventorServer is accessible for custom jobs within the Autodesk Job Server and Job Processor framework only.
