Hello all,

I have a curiosity and it would be necessary because it would shorten the project design time.

I have this process in Inventor, for designs clients:

1. If you save the project.
2. A save window appears in which you have to select Category and Numbering scheme (see picture 1).
3. After that the inventor forces you to Check IN in Vault, but the designer has to cancel the Vault upload and enter iLogic, under GLobal Forms where he has to select in Data Card CAD Type related to the project. ( See picture 2 )
4. Then the designer can upload the project to the Vault.
Couldn't this process be automated? so that designers don't have to enter iLogic and select each time the CAD Type of the project, but the CAD Type is automatically modified according to the Category that appears when saving the project (see picture 1).

Thank you!

There is a Vault add-in for iLogic that would help you

There's an AU class on it here - https://www.autodesk.com/autodesk-university/class/iLogic-and-Vault-Vault-and-iLogic-2020

And the add-in is hosted on Markus Koechl's GitHub - https://github.com/koechlm/iLogic-Vault

With that you should be able to do the whole process - capture all data then check in - in one iLogic rule

Hope that helps

Nick

Thanks for the answer, in the video there are only examples of use, but you didn't find what interests me. Anyone else with other ideas?
