Nick, thanks for the honest first answer. Which was what I was expecting. But I had not thought about tools like dotpeek. I will give it a shot.

Hello All,

I think I know the answer to this question, but I am still hopeful.

I have developed a Vault extension in C# a few years ago. The last version was for Vault pro 2020. Works great. We are migrating our systems to 2022...... I have lost the source code 😭

Are there any tricks to getting 2020 extensions to run in 2022 without recompiling?

Today when I copy the "Extensions" folder into the 2022 "Extensions" folder, I get an error with the vcet.config file.

I have updated that will version 27.0.0.0

Thanks for taking a look and hopefully having a solution

Hi

You are probably expecting this answer, so I won't sugar-coat it - you can't do anything without the source code

But there are a number of tools that will decompile .NET assemblies, so you could download something like dotPeek by JetBrains, and see if it can retrieve enough of your source code to get you going

Hope a) that helps, and b) I don't get banned for the suggestion

Nick
