Data Standard 2023 slow on filename typing

Hello,

When we type the file name on the DataStandard dialog for a new file, seems like the validation function is causing a delay on the typing.

We did not get that behaviour on DS 2021.

Is there anything we could do to avoid this?

2022 and 2023 run a file name validation as default and respects the Vault configuration "Enforce Unique File Names".

You can review and change this behavior in the .\CAD\addins\FileNameValidation.ps1.

2024 enhanced unique file enforcement settings and stopped searching for uniqueness from the client side. You could also apply this change in 2023 (however, without validation on the server side): comment the if statement starting here: VDS-Sample-Configuration-2023/VDS-2023-MFG-Sample/CAD/addins/FileNameValidation.ps1 at master · koechlm/VDS-Sample-Configuration-2023 (github.com)
