I just did a test and it looks like you can unlink an IR at any point until the CR reaches a status of Cancelled or Complete, at which point the CR is locked and nothing more may be changed in it, as you've discovered. For now, you might need to &lt;A href="https://www.autodesk.com/support/account/manage/use/support" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;submit a support request&lt;/A&gt; to unlink the IR from the CR. In the short term, if a CR must be cancelled you'll have to remember to unlink the IR first before doing so. Going forward, this would be a good addition to the &lt;A href="https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/upchain-ideas/idb-p/6141" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;Upchain Ideas Board&lt;/A&gt;.       <title>Unlinking CRs and IRs</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;How do we un-link a CR and an IR? Currently, if someone submits a CR and links an IR to it, then someone else denies approval (or an admin cancels it), then that IR stays linked to the cancelled CR. When the designer resubmits the item into another CR after making additional changes, we are unable to link that previous IR to the new CR. How do we accomplish this?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
