How long is educational license good for?

I have AutoCAD 2017 because I am a college student. How long will this license last for, so I can continue making blueprints?

Hi @Anonymous and welcome to Autodesk Community!

Educational licenses are valid for 3 years, however if you are still are student after your current license expires you can request for a new serial number that will be valid for another 3 years.

So, is that only the Drive portion of AutoCad or the whole thing. Like in 3 years, I will no longer be allowed to use AutoCAD 2017 at all?

After 3-years, AutoAD 2017 stops. f you are still a Student you go back to the Student portal and sign up for the next available version. That's it.

The idea is Autodesk wants you to always have access to the latest and greatest at school since no employer is going to be impressed you still use ancient software.

3 years.

You cannot use any of your blueprints for commerical use though. Only for
classroom work.

Omg lol I was so worried that my Autodesk will be expired and I can’t use it anymore before I go off to college, I sign in when I’m in grade 8

One-year

The education plan gives eligible students and educators free*, one-year, single-user access to Autodesk software for educational purposes. You can access all software available through the Education Community, and access is renewable annually as long as you’re eligible.
