Hi

Sorry you are having difficulty. I am wondering whether this is a registry corruption. Could you delete the software registry settings to see if this resolves the issue.

Before following the instructions below, it is important to understand that the system registry contains vital information for the running of the computer. Before you make changes to the registry, ensure you have all your data backed up. You must speak to your IT department before editing the registry as it is possible you will require their permission to make edits.

Once you have permission, follow these steps:

1. Open the Registry Editor (regedit.exe)
2. Go to the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\Structural Bridge Design\Session.
3. Right click on Session and select Rename. Rename the key to SessionBAD
4. Exit the Registry Editor

Now start ASBD. Hopefully the toolbar will be back to normal.

If this works could you export and post the bad session key so we can investigate.

Thanks
Simon

If this resolved the problem, please use the green Accept as solution button to say so. This allows other users to find solutions faster.

Upon opening BSD the user is given an "Abnormal Program Termination" error and closes immediately. Previously the program was running fine. He was having trouble with loading bitmap files. Closed BSD and reopened it to find this. Happens every time now. I'm currently more concerned with what causes this error compared to how to fix it. Anyone know anything about it?

Unfortunately that did not work. I noticed you mentioned the word toolbar. Not sure if I understand but the program itself isn't opening.

My mistake, replace the word "toolbar" with "software".

A couple more things to try. Try the first, if that doesn't work try the second, etc.

Close the software. Go to the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\Structural Bridge Design and rename key to something else. Start ASBD

Close the software. Rename the folder C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\ASBD. Start ASBD

Uninstall / restart / reinstall / retest.

I hope that one of the above works for you, but if doesn't, please contact support for a resolution.
