Staged Construction in Post-tensioned Concrete unavailable

Hi,

Anyone who knows how to solve construction sequence in ASBD version 2018? I'm having a problem in stage construction where slab will be added on top of girder in stage 2? Is there a solution for this or the software still limited to stage 1 only?

Hi,

Yes, ASBD post-tensioned beam module still is limited to a single cross section stage in the current version.

A workaround for your problem maybe to define multiple design beams for all different construction stages you want to check.

If you want to incorporate your design beams into an analysis model you can define a multi-stage analysis model and assign your beams to the corresponding analysis stage.

We are aware of the current limitations of the software and we will review the amount of work needed to enhance the construction stage capabilities of ASBD in the near future.

We are in 2024, using version 2025 and the problem is still the same... Let's leave ASBD aside and continue with MIDAS and STRAP, much more complete and professional.
