Can robot2024 open str files?

Previously, I could use the program to produce str files which could be opened by robot2020. But now, robot2024 cannot open them, and even the str files generated by robot2024 itself cannot be opened by robot2024. The error message displayed is "errors in the file". What is the reason for this error? Can robot2024 still open str files?

Hi @zongyang_li

I do not think procedure of opening STR files have changed between version 2020 and 2024. Probably error is reported for material not available in Job Preferences (in version 2024)

If you will not be able to solve the problem please share STR file for verification.

Hi @zongyang_li

This STR opens with no error for English/ UK settings in Preferences and UK material database.

After supports modification model can be calcualted and results are obtained.

You can click in Error message when STR is verified. Probably it will indicate line with material definition.
