      <description>&lt;P&gt;Gents,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is it possible to apply a linear support transveresly to a bar? &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm trying to model a retaining wall (&amp;amp; including soil interaction) as springs applied along the length of the waler beam.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'd prefer not to discretise the beam and apply nodal elastic supports. &amp;nbsp;I'd like to keep a single bar intact.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Cheers.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;To fix&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;the longitudinal direction you can combine Elastic Ground with nodal support, for&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;springs acting unidirectionally - you can use this option:&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;You don't have to divide a bar. It should be enough to define nodes (with supports) along its lenght. In such way you will refer to a single bar number for result's exploration or design.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
