Verification of crack widths for RC Spread Footings is based on calculated required area of reinforcement and the limits are set by the design code for selected environment class. The assumption is that the calculated required area of reinforcement is such that the calculated crack width is equal to the limit value. There is no information about the final crack width in the note as for required area it would be the same as the limit one. In fact it is slightly smaller as provided reinforcement generated by Robot is larger than required.

Hello!

I hope I can get help with a question according to the foundation results that i recieve in Robot.

I have the possibility to apply which condition should be met in the crack width of the foundation. That parameter I can find in the story parameters

in provided reinforcement window.

But when we go further to the results I cant find the presentation of the crackwidth result. I think it should be great if the conditions for the foundation and Eurocode could be specified/presented more detailed according to SS-EN 1992-1-1 swedish annex, for example (0.23 mm < 0.3 mm - OK!)

You can find my calculation note in the attached file.

Thanks in advance!

Kind regards

Safet Iska

Hello Artur,

Ok then I understand. I just got used to have that particular moment presented in the calculations notes in other softwares but this works just fine aswell.

Thank you for quick reply!

Kind Regards
Safet Iska
