Changing TEMP files folder

Hello everybody,

Right now I need to perform a lot of calculations which include THA (time history analisys). Such analisys requires a lot of free space on drive, where TEMP folder is located.

Unfortunately I have very limited system drive. So, the question is - is it possible to change drive/folder where Robot locate temporary files for calculation?

Thank you for your help. Do you know - is it possible to change TEMP folder location only for RSA not for OS?

No. Robot uses %temp% folder

Hi,

We have found out that our F-Secure Real Time Scanning is spending a lot of time scanning Robot temporary files in folder C:\Users\<username>\appdata\local\temp\. This slows down Robot quite a lot.

For example starting Robot takes about 20-30 seconds and when the ..\Temp- folder is excluded from virus scanning Robot starts up in 4 sec.

Is the situation still the same that Robot uses OS temp folder?

C:\Users\<username>\appdata\local\temp\ folder is used by other programs too and I don’t feel comfortable excluding this whole folder from virus scanning. So It would be nice to define a specific folder for Robot temp-files and exclude it.

F-Secure is working with this slowness issue (I hope) but I don’t know when they will solve it. In mean while I would like to use workaround.

Suggestions for other workarounds other than excluding temp-folder from virus scanning?
