Hello all, good time for all of you.

While modelling a floor, there are different thicknesses in the same floor. S 20 is the main slab and s 16 is the bath slab. The main system is flat slab.

As we know for equilibrium, any point should have one moment value to acheive the equilibrium principle. In the attached model (1), there are irregular moment diagram. In onother way, at one point there are 2 value of moments.

In the model (2), I have modelled a beam with differen depths ( 12*70 + 12*120 + 12*70 ) , the moment is regular and familiar.

Why it is regular for beams and irregular for slabs ?

In this particular case ,you may use " global smothing" . Better explained when using panel cuts.

you should not use global smoothing between slabs and walls
