Good afternoon,

I have defined a new section using the 'Section Definition' tool.

However when i define as a bar in the 3D model space, the member is orientated correctly, however local axis is different. Therefore when I am investigating vertical beam bendings for these beams and others, I nee to switch between Mz and My axis.

As always, any tips welcome!

Lee

Thanks Artur for your reply,

So in short, just need to toggle Mz and My?

Cheers

Lee

Hi Artur,

I am trying to rotate the local bar axis around 'x' axis, so that local 'z' axis is point up so that is consistent with other members.

Thanks!

Lee

My understanding is that you want to "rotate" axes without rotating the bar itself. This would require the option that allow you to save a user section to inn the user section database in such coordinate system rater than the one "imposed" by Robot. Currently this is not possible and the corresponding request is on the wish list for the next versions of RSA.
