IntelForm is a new unique program for parametric modeling of the structure. It is designed for architects as a tool to support the work at the conceptual stage of the project, as well as for engineers as a tool for rapid prototyping of advanced geometrical forms.

Thanks to the parametric approach and parallel programming techniques, the creation and subsequent modification of various types of structures is incredibly fast.

In IntelForm structure model consists of one or more masses whose mutual position can be determined by means of appropriate parameters (eg. The position of one mass above another or cutting one mass to another). At the level of a single mass parameterization is subject to, among others, contour and shape of the mass, the amount of floors and roof structure.

Additionally, the program IntelForm introduces the concept of structural lines (by default these are all external contour lines with the possibility to add a line inside the contour), for which you can define the structural arrangement consisting of beams, columns, walls, trusses, etc.

After each change of any parameter, model of a 3D structure is automatically regenerated and visualized in real time.

The program IntelForm allows to export created analytical model to standard formats, among others:

RTD (connection with Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis)

IFC (connection with Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Concrete Building Structures (CBS), and others)

More details (presentation videos, free demo version) are available at www.intelform.net.pl

IntelForm is a new program, so it will be developping quickly to support users needs. Version 1.1 is already available.

Moreover, a short film (Typical buiding modeling) showing how to design a typical building using parametric approach is available.

Although in IntelForm program one can quickly design more advanced structures including curved edges or fancy roof surfaces, even typical structures may be created about 30% faster than by traditional modeling (Reference example ). Moreover, parametric model can be much more easily modified later, if necessary

IntelForm v.1.2 is already available with new useful functionalities. One of them is parametric definition of offsets for beams in relation to plates and second direction beams with possibility to export them to Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis - this can help, among others, in quick results comparison between models with offsets taken or not taken into account during calculations. Additionally, possibility to set one mass as a copy of another mass is very useful when in the structure there are a few identical pieces – thanks to this option by changing any parameter in one place, the associated parts of the structure are changed automatically.

Coming soon - amazing possibility to calculate automatically gamma angles for beams for curved roofs with export to rtd format.

IntelForm interface is extremely simple - in only 3 windows the user parametrize, visualize and manage the structure. With short learning curve it can help significantly to increase modeling capabilities of Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis users.

Simplified and quick wind load generation method has been added to IntelForm software. It can be easily compared to results of wind loads simulation performed in Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis program. Moreover, thanks to additional criteria for structure generation (system of diagonales on mass lateral edges) and evaluation (horizontal displacement) it opens new possibilities to benefit from Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis engine in engineering tasks..

In attached document an optimization of steel tower is described on simple example. Automatic wind loads generation for each variant and horizontal displacements calculations can significantly help to find optimal solution for tower geometry.

IntelForm version with these possibilities and more details can be found at www.intelform.net.pl

IntelForm - Wind loads generation improvements

Possibilities to define wind profile (according to any curve) and wall as a cladding (with automatic adding wall weight to self-weight load case) in IntelForm software increase the functionality of wind loads generation. These small changes in interface in connection with export to Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis program can help to perform more advanced analyses.

IntelForm - change of the name and DXF support

Program name has been changed to IgentForm (another abbreviation of Intelligent Forms).

With new name comes international domain (www.igentform.com) and new fantastic and time saving possibility for Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis users, namely model creation on DXF background. With this one can easily load axes, create mass contours and walls elevations with openings snapping to DXF points, add structural elements like beams, columns and walls, create masses, cut openings in them and finally export the final model to Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis.

In the attached file DXF_ModelingEN.pdf one can find the description of way of working on DXF files.

Attached DXF_16.png file presents model created on real DXF background in less than 30min (one mass with sloped plate, openings with lintels in walls, irregular columns positions, plates automatically cut to staircase mass, different elements sections).

In addtion, partition walls are automatically changed into linear load during export to Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis.

IgentForm - loads combinations

IgentForm software is constantly developped to help engineers during design process. New options, which can be especially useful for Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis users have just been released - it is now possible to easily define loads on any plates, automatically create load cases for all plates on storeys and use them for loads combinations creation. Finally, load cases and combinations can be exported to Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis.

Full list of new other options (like Undo functionality) is available on www.igentform.com website
