&lt;P&gt;you can see that compression in the plate on the region below the hole is much larger for the&amp;nbsp; model with "compression only bars " instead of rigid links to transmit the force to the plate.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I needed to add some extra supports to avoid some instabilities&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;models attached&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>Truss support analysis</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm currently analyzing a truss but I'm just wondering if it is possible to do a plate connection in the support for example a pinned support like the imaged below.       <description>You can try modelling the plates as FE elements panels and conecting them to the bars using rigid links</description>
