Artur,

I used the rigid link option however this does not solve the problem, you can download the robot file from link https://we.tl/ycv2uDFN4o

I tried three different alteration, by adding rigid links where the required reinforcement was extremely high.

However the extreme vales just move to different location. I just feel that there is something fundamentally wrong with the design modules when it comes to RC walls.

I am going to use Etabs to verify the design and ensure that results from Robot are valid.

I am trying to design the required reinforcement for core walls, based on the recommended methods on various webinars.

However I am getting extremely large required reinforcement values at few locations, see attached.

What is causing these large spikes in the values and has anyone found a solution to the problem?

I have also tried using the direct provided reinforcement module however the required reinforcement is different to the analytical method, see attached.

Any reason why they would be different?

Have include in the calculation parameters reinforcement correction of cracking and deflection ?

Could you please send the model .

Hi @Anonymous

If these huge values are in the corner nodes of the walls you may consider looking at the values in the centers of the corners' surface elements instead.

Mind to switch of global averaging of forces while calculating reinforcement.

Hi @Anonymous

First of all you included out of the plane bending in the calculation of reinforcement so you have to include it when you think about the required area of reinforcement. Then if you display the actual sizes of beams and columns you may consider disregarding the results of panel reinforcement in the areas they overlap or add rigid links corresponding to the sizes of columns.
