Meshing too long

Hi everyone,

Have you ever mesh generation of robot model too long, first I generate mesh of wall, and they seem ok, but when I select all floor and generate mesh, they mesh too long about longer than 3 hour but haven't change the % mesh like picture below. Could you help me know why they too long. I have upload file for your refference at link below

I think you need to address the model accuracy issues first as what takes time is the number of attempts to re-mesh significant number of panels to obtain coherent meshes. You may want to watch the recordings of the two first Robot webinars on meshing as well as the one for the link with Revit.

Can you explan for me why I can generate mesh quick more by meshing floor seperately ? And the incoherent mesh occur at the edge opening rather than the internal area ? I can send you the model for your reference at link below

More over, also the 4 node be incoherent, I see them connect properly but why they warning incoherent ? Could you explan for me ?

IMHO as I wrote your problem is with the model accuracy. When you mesh a floor it includes all objects defined in its plane Beams , walls, openings). Try to select one floor panel only and its openings copy them 'outside' the structure and then run local meshing for it. if you still have issues with it attach such 'small' model to your post on the forum.

Most likely local meshing created two nodes in the same position for each of the (two) meshes meeting there. You can use Edit > Correct commands and merge them (this is done automatically at the model generation stage).

Actually, when I select all floor & opening, then generate mesh for floor first, they meshing process they too long and still 48 % all time, so I consider to mesh the floor seperately floor by floor. Could you open my model to check this case, could you help me pleae.

Hi Artur,

First you select all floor level then generate mesh and see the process.

Second, you select one level from Basment 5 to Level 2 and try to mesh them floor by floor, you will see some level will mesh too long. But when you close program, then open again, they will be generate properly. I don't know why they have difference like that.

To avoid running into issues with multiple efforts of making coherent meshes for inaccurately defined panels I marked both iterative adjustment of meshes and generation of kinematic constrains:

As you can see 'reducing' the accuracy related issues results in fast meshing.

My assumption is that this line indicates the location of mesh incoherence. Looking at the picture I can't see a cause of it but I'll check if you attach the model.

Correct! But we check the existing pile capacity for new usage floor.
