Respect our mind

Hi All,

I have made this thread to express my impression on ( Response of development team of our post which include errors need to be corrected and to be checked ).

Many post Showed many errors and issues need to be checked by development team have been reported .

And always Mr. @ Artur.Kosakowski responded to them ( thank you ) That this problem has been forwarded to development team to check.

Then always it comes with no any feed back . like this problem has been sent to trash .

To Autodesk Development Team and Autodesk Leader Please be noted that we are here not to waste our time and when we report for problem you have to thank us and consider it seriously instead of trash it like that . This is really Ashamed and ridiculous .

I am really worried with the future of our loved RSA!!!

Please Autodesk, tell us what are your plans?

Should we keep using RSA and sending issues reports, or should we give up and choose another software???

We are really unrespected in this forum.

We are here not for fun .

I challenge all autodesk mangers if they dare to respond to this

post .

No one care no one have enough power to reply us.

Hi Guys ,

I agree that is really a shame and ridiculous that Autodesk keep us in the dark. Probably because they are more lost than a blind man on a crossfire and don´t know what to do ,or because they know that the answer they have for us will not be what we want to hear and as a consequence , they will surely loose money.

But I insist that the guys who owe us an answer are much above our good friends from support crew ,mainly Artur , Rafal and Pawel . Not even the development team is to blame . They Just simply do what they are told to do ,and I can bet that most of their efforts are to improve the Revit structural analysis power , or Revit-RSA link , or anything that has BIM on its core objective.

Decisions are made on much higher levels of the corporation , and those are the guys we should target to give us an answer!!!!

Until then ,we have to live with inexistent development of the latest versions ,or with stupid "improvements" like the "use kinematic constraints" ,certainly implemented to minimize the mess that is a conversion of the Revit analytic model to an RSA model, as everyone knows that , always ,the 1st recommendation to get a coherent mesh is exactly Disable "use kinematic constraints"

We are sadly in the hands of people who probably never even tried to model a simple 2d frame in Robot . Maybe ,that´s the reason why they don´t know the jewel they have in their hands and are about to throw it on the trash bin!!!!

I was so curious about Robot Structural Analysis and Spent a lot of time to learn it ..Then Autodesk came with React structures and claimed that they have lot of improvement in mind regarding the Code checking blah blah... Then they came with big marketing hype like connected BIM and they have something special for the structural engineer in the cloud..blah blah....you can read that post from this link Re-engineering structural analysis for the future . And now there is no more information from Autodesk..So what is my next option.should I wait or move other products which is taken care of structural engineers by their work and not by their words. I choose the second option and start loving ETABS more than Robot. I am sorry to say this to all my beloved Robot users. But this is the fact.

We structural engineers are the abandoned children of Autodesk. They always give milk and sweats to Architects and MEP people and for us they give only unrealistic BLOG POSTS...!!!

They want to make revit hero .

This is really the truth and it is so sad.

They have stupid strategy all their concern is to have a new thing for structural engineer even they know it wont work .

They want mainly to ignore RSA and developing of RSA. Because they are stupid and they dont know what to do.

To Autodesk :

I swear to god If you will keep going with your f**king strategy to structural analysis the result will be no one will use your product in strcutral engineering and not only like that we wont work with any autodesk product .

I Fully understand your sincere reaction to this careless behavior and completely omission from Autodesk to our cries!

Dear Supports, (Artur, Rafal, Pawel...)

Does Autodesk leaders hear this forum users voice and concern?

If YES why there is no answer , some hope?

if No tell us to stop crying and search other structural solutions.

We waste our times and efforts in crying but saving RSA deserves these actions!

We need someone to hear , someone who react, someone who respond!

We thank you dear supports for your continuous work to make this forum the best.

but we are really frustrated with AUTODESK global strategy.

Changing to Other structural software will lead us to completely leave AUTODESK products (as claimed by Mustafa) since it will be no need

to use anymore!

I am very sad for the users reactions to SAVE RSA with no concern from Autodesk!

I had teach RSA to so many users . My company adopt RSA because we proposed this to them many users here in this country started to use RSA because of me .

They are really stupid if they wont listen to us.

Though I work at Autodesk, I am not on the Robot Structural Analysis team, so, unfortunately, I can't give you any specifics. I can say that product managers at Autodesk are indeed appreciative of bug reports that come in from the field. Though our products undergo a battery of tests before we release them, there are so many possible data combinations that it is impossible to test all use cases. So it's helpful for us to get test cases from real-world users like the dedicated customers who take time out of their busy schedules to report problems in our forums. But having said that, everyone should have realistic expectations as to what comes next. At the beginning of each release cycle, product managers assess what is lacking in a product in terms of what it needs to provide better value to customers. They come up with a feature list for the release. They also look at the defect list and evaluate the severity, frequency, and urgency of the defects. Software developers assess the risk of fixing the defects - risk in terms of "if I fix this, what's the likelihood that I will break something else?" Based on the analysis of severity/urgency/frequency and risk, defects are added to the list of items to be fixed for a release. This happens as part of a release cycle because there is a substantial amount of feature testing and regression testing that goes on as part of a release. This testing is significant in effort and as such, happens as part of a release cycle. As such, defects reported via the forums are addressed as part of a release cycle instead of immediately after they are reported via a forum. I understand that this is not welcome news, but I am respecting your mind by sharing the truth.

Many thanks to you for sharing with us this truth.

As what you said that you are not on the Robot Structural Analysis team. But I would like to pay your attention that all what you stated above is not fallowed for RSA .

We have so many problems are very significant and since RSA released them from the first features were wrongly understood and have big impact on design safety . We had highlight them many times To RSA team without getting any feed back .

We are The Loyal RSA users we been working with RSA software for more than 10 years . So we have the right to ask Why Autodesk doesn't have interest in RSA why there is no development with it . Why they bought if they dont want to work with .

Do uou know how many problems corrected by us . Do you know how many problems we report .

We did our Part to report the problem and Autodesk has to deal with us professionally and to tell us what the status of these problems .

Why every year there is new version of RSA without correcting these problems or considering our Ideas for the new features .

We are here not for fun . We adopt RSA and we are Autodesk Customers So Autodesk has to respect us and inform us what is going on .

Lastly I am attaching here this list for some problems We are insisting to know what the status of them .

Please be noted that Structural engineering is related to building safety and these problems in software like RSA can describe it by one word its a Disaster.

Thank you for your detailed message. During the release cycle, all critical bugs have a chance to be fixed by service packs or hotfixes.

As you already know, the beta testing is a very powerful tool to get the response from the dedicated customers. Unfortunately, we didn't see the Robot beta more than 3 years.

Sometime ago our friend M. Hesenow posted the "What's new in RSA" from , I think , 2013 to 2018 ( Maybe he can provide the link to his forum post, I couldn't find it).
The list of improvements and new features in all these years were minimum , not to say ridiculous!!!!

The only conclusions Possibles are
1 - RSA Product manager is not capable of , at least, reading the forum and learning which are our most urgent requests . Should have been fired after all these years of almost nonexistent improvement.
2- Development team not large enough to do what is needed, because I know these guys since 2001 from the old Robobat days, and there is no doubt about how brilliant they are
3- Autodesk considers Robot 2nd class software and finds it has accomplished its purpose on delivering ( a lame and poor) structure analysis capability to Revit.
If number 3 is the truth , just tell us , so we we can move to another software from a company who listens and deliver what Structural engineers need !!!

I want to tank you for your valuable participation to this discussion.

I follow you since years in the Autodesk Labs It is Alive in the Lab and now with the new blogs dedicated for the promotion of the Autodesk Forge:

its_alive_in_the_lab. your blogs are always promotional and give excitation for the new products in Autodesk.

In the Autodesk Labs there was the technical preview called : REACT which was the future vision of Autodesk structural analysis software.

We are all excited and dreamed for the development and accomplishment of this software to be used as future version of our loved RSA.

But since the end of All the technical previews and the stop development of REACT nothing was developed in Robot none new innovative software was appeared.

Many bugs existed in RSA and needed urgent corrections. many enhancements should be done to keep the software competent.

Codes Updates for the structural analysis should be provided to follow up the international Codes development and updates.

The structural analysis software need continuous development and enhancement specially for a great software as Robot to keep it leaders in its domain.

Your position in Autodesk may give you the opportunity to speak to structural team leaders as to clarify us the strategy of the structural analysis in AUTODESK as to give us Road-map for the structural analysis and design in AUTODESK as you provide rodmaps for many other products (REVIT, Advance steel, FUSION 360....)

we are really frustrated for the structural domain in AUTODESK. and if omitted it will be a fatal disaster of the whole AEC collection products you promote since all this coollection will be graphics presentation of projects with no capability to be designed and executed.

Your valuable support if possible will be very appreciated by RSA users.

We loved RSA! and we want RSA alive in AUTODESK.
