How to design a chimney with round opening on it

Hi to all,

I want to design a 30m tall steel chimney that has a round opening on the surface in order to be able to connect with a pipe of 1.41m diameter. I see that there are some relative posts but I couldn't find one that the opening has round shape. I am attaching the relative file

Thank you very much for your tutorial video, it was very helpful! I did all that you show at your video, but when I try to extrude the upper contour of the shell in order to model the rest of the chimney (height 5-30m), it doesn't seems possible. Robot just doesn't do anything.

Hi @TSOFA

If you have the same thickness along the entire height just create a 'longer' chimney (up to 30 m) as a one 'tube'. Otherwise create a new circle and extrude it and them make sure the meshes are coherent.

My chimney has not the same thickness along the whole height, so I created a circle and then I extruded it. What is the best way to make sure the meshes are coherent? I am attaching a print screen of my mesh.

I tried to model the base plate of the chimney and the mesh is not correct. Can you help?
