      <title>Wire Sling / Cables in Conveyor Design</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello Everyone,&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Currently I am planning to reinforce the existing conveyor building with the addition of wire slings / cables. How to do that correctly using RSA? I have done several ways by creating new sections, tension members, creating cable sections. &lt;P&gt;Before analyzing stress ratio or other, you must correct your model as it’s a non linear structure, then:&lt;BR /&gt;- Merge all wires sling and tension rods&lt;BR /&gt;- Apply cable function to wire sling&lt;BR /&gt;- Set tension rod as tension only truss&lt;BR /&gt;- Delete members (LE 100x100x13) joining tension rod bars (Before analyzing stress ratio or other, you must correct your model as it’s a non linear structure, then:&lt;BR /&gt;Merge all wires sling and tension rods&lt;BR /&gt;Apply cable function to wire sling&lt;BR /&gt;Set tension rod as tension only truss&lt;BR /&gt;Delete members (LE 100x100x13) joining tension rod bars (no effect on results, but create instabilities on trusses)&lt;BR /&gt;You may then analyse results according to your code &lt;BR /&gt;Model attached&lt;BR /&gt;You may then analyse results according to your code&lt;/P&gt;
