topic Wall reinforcement for in plane bending in Robot Structural Analysis Forum

Good afternoon,

I am trying to wrap my head around how ROBOT works in terms of wall in plane bending. I have a question that I hope someone can help me with.
This is the scheme at hand:

In reinforcement parameters I have put the required deflection and cracking limit. I have changed the calculation method to analytical and ran the analysis. The resulting reinforcement map is something that I would expect.

Question: Does robot adjust reinforcement for in plane bending according to given deflection limits in reinforcement parameters? Is there a way to see the final deflection?

It is weird that, in reinforcement module, we can see out of plane deflections no problem, but not in plane deflection hence the question.

It is a theoretical question 😁. For some reason It doesn't allow me to attach model to the comment.

Here is a transfer link for a model:
https://we.tl/t-BqSq4uz3Eq

Hi @cernevicius.karolis

Question: Does robot adjust reinforcement for in plane bending according to given deflection limits in reinforcement parameters? Is there a way to see the final deflection?

Yes it does,

In your example the deflection criteria are not critical.

In this example:

Hmm... I am wondering whether this result is a fluke or not. I have done the same test that you have performed on a beam and got same results on both. This time I made sure to make deflection the limiting factor.
