I want a releas between two panel when I release on both edges I get an instablity warning.

If i only put a release on one side the other side will have a moment, how do i solve this problem?

How does linear releases work?

Hi @Anonymous ,

Putting a linear release on ONE side only should be enough to avoid out of plane bending continuity on the slab.

Are you looking at out of plane bending or in-plane bending of the slab?

According to the picture when I use one release the other side wil have a moment how do i solve that?

And i want no bending in de slab is that possible?

You must know that you cannot have to identical releases for all neighbor edges . At least one edge must be unreleased. See below an example.

Deleting all your linear releases and assigning a moment release to your bottom slab edges , the results will show zero moments at the slab edges
