Hi

I am modelling this suspension bridge in Robot and i have done some Control calculations on the cable force. In my calculations i get a much lower force than calculated in the main cable nearest to the Tower. My calculations include the weight of cable and truss system give 3800 kN as max cable force while robot give 5800 kN. Have i done something wrong?. On beforehand thank you for any helpful reply.

I have Attached the robot file and Picture of axial force in cable below.

Found the mistake.

The self weight for the whole structure was added twice. The new results are approximate to what was calculated.

Don't know how this happened or if it's connected to modelling of cable structures.
